Booking

To make an appointment using the online booking system, please fill in your details and select the appointment type. This will show you available appointments and allow you to book the appointment you wish to have. The choice of appointments are:

  • Initial Assessment (90 minutes)
    • online assessment (90 minutes)
    • face to face assessment (90 minutes)
  • Follow-up appointment (30 or 60 minutes)
    • online review 30 minutes, or
    • face to face review 30 minutes, including prescription, or
    • face to face review 60 minutes, including prescription

Dr Wilkin is a General Adult Psychiatrist and only sees patients who are over 17 years old and no longer attending school.

Once you have booked your appointment, you will receive a telephone call from Dr Wilkin, within two working days, to gather some basic information prior to the appointment.

 

Payment Options

Payment in advance is required for all appointments, in order to secure your chosen day and time. Online payments can be made using debit cards, credit cards or Paypal. Telephone payments can be made using debit or credit cards.

An extra charge will be incurred after the appointment, if the length of time required exceeds the slot allocated by more than 10 minutes. Please see Fees for more details.

Cancellations or missed appointments will be charged at 100% unless 24 hours' notice is given. Appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours notice can either be re-scheduled or refunded.

In order to be a good doctor, you need to have had life experience. You need to be able to relate to others, to care and show true empathy.

You need to be able to listen, really listen and communicate effectively. Then you will be able to understand the difficulties experienced by each patient that you see and help them to see a way forward.
